Nona Workman

Career:

Nona joined the SEC Team as Senior Financial Analyst in 2020. In 2023, she became the lead of the newly formed FP&A team as Financial Planning and Analysis Manager. Prior to joining SEC, Nona worked in banking and financial management, and in public accounting specializing in audit and assurance.

Education:

Nona achieved her BA in Literature from UNC Asheville in 2000 and successfully earned her Certified Public Accountants license in 2015. Nona is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.

Social/Community:

Nona is active in her community and is a longtime supporter of the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County. Nona is passionate about supporting youth development through the challenge and camaraderie of mountain biking, and volunteers as Assistant Head Coach for Pisgah Rage and Asheville High School mountain bike teams.

Personal:

Nona, her husband, Scott, and daughter, Naomi, enjoy the proximity to mountain trail systems and extended family that the Asheville area offers. Nona can often be found riding trails with her daughter, friends and team, chasing buoys on a slalom waterski course, or enjoying lake life with her sisters and parents.
